Brayden Burries of Arizona and Mikayla Blakes of Vanderbilt named AP national players of the week in college basketball. Burries, a freshman guard, won the award twice this season, averaging 22 points, 8.5 rebounds, and 4.5 assists. He helped Arizona claim the Big Twelve regular season title. Blakes, a sophomore guard, averaged 34.5 points, 5 rebounds, and 4.5 assists in wins over Alabama and Tennessee, becoming the first SEC player in 26 years with a dozen 30-point games.
