The last 2 months have been eventful to say the least, back up & running in Paris. Reflecting on the last few months, the latest with my agency & the intention for the next month(s).

Speed has been very importantly lately, nice getting a moment to reflect on this last month, where the business is going and continue putting in the work, whatever shape that takes...

7 weeks living in Paris, juggling corporate & building a business... embrace the routine, stack days one by one

If not now, when?Recently moved countries for a job opportunity, all the while juggling a business & finding my feet. A new routine, environment, same goals... Forcing my own hand to get out my comfort zone & get after it! If not now, when?

After taking the week off from corporate, I had a lot of extra time to focus on figuring out my business processes, where to focus my time and work more efficiently given my limitation of not being all in.

Consistent week with a clear idea on what to adjust for the upcoming week. Felt quite slow during the work week but glad I've chipped away and had a few things connect today (Sunday)...Set things up quite well to hit the ground running on Monday. Paying a lot more attention to Quality this week > Quantity (last week).

New Direction with the Podcast, documenting the journey of starting & running a Business! Aiming to record these podcasts every Sunday, recapping on the week & preparing for the week ahead. Step at a time with the big picture in mind is the theme, hoping this weekly podcast will help me clarify & re-calibrate as I go along!

Avery is the founder of 'Early Stage Founders'. A community helping new founders land their first client. Naturally, I had to ask how Avery began in this space and his journey into entrepreneurship. Overcoming a lot of financial pressure after his corporate role disappeared post acquisition, leading to a real sink or swim situation. I regularly speak with Avery on building my own business, glad I got to record this one!

Louis discusses his path in building a Newsletter Agency. As a recent agency owner, I had a tonne of questions on how he has sustainably built his business, systems, teams to operate without tasks falling through the cracks. He shares brilliant insights to how Orbit Marketing has grown, quite literally adopting the mentality of survival first! I took immense value from this conversation, "work at a pace that is sustainable forever" stuck with me, quite fitting as I'm currently reading Nassim Taleb's Antifragile book from his incerto series 👌.

Arash and I go a long way back! His wisdom and perspective has been very valuable to me throughout the years, especially when I had just left the hospital. Always great catching up and talking about all different aspects of life, from self-improvement through to parenthood. Great individual I include in my council when I need an opinion and perspective.

Impact before Income is a big theme in this discussion. Aaisha is the Founder of Creative Thinkers Club - guiding young creatives to secure jobs! From starting a personal brand on social media to taking responsibility and making her own opportunities rather than waiting for it, her story and strategies for breaking into the creative industries are insightful & impressive!

A few gems throughout this podcast where Rob speaks about all things creativity. Getting out of creative ruts, how to get out of your own head, taking the pressure off, altering the stakes & utilising negative experiences as sources of strength! Rob opens up about his early experiences of going into foster care and using his creativity as a source of hope and escape

Tyler and I discuss his journey from getting into Stanford, to landing a job at Goldman Sachs, to then climbing the corporate ladder... and then changing paths. Leaving the corporate world is always a complicated topic of discussion, very interesting to understand his perspective and the decision to walk away. We went into this episode with the theme of recapping on 2023, however naturally turned into one of our regular conversations about Uni, marketing agencies, living & working in London!

A very tough environment to be successful in and even more so in the crypto space. Daniel speaks about losing his Dad at the age of 21. Understanding how some process grief, especially when external circumstances are passed onto the 'man of the house'. Daniel and I have grown up together, so this was a very personal episode for me to listen and record with him, very grateful for his willingness to share this experience on MI Locker.
