Dr. Bes shares her inspiring journey: from working in Amazonia’s primary care setting to pursuing a PhD, landing a research fellowship at Harvard Medical School, and re-entering residency after more than a decade since medical school. She reveals what motivated her to retrain in the U.S. healthcare system and reflects on the rewards and challenges of adapting to a new clinical environment.
