Deze week ontvangt Gijs Groenteman Volkskrant-collega Maral Noshad Sharifi, onze Amerika-correspondent die even in het land is. Ze schreef de autobiografische roman Citroeninkt, over een meisje dat met haar familie vlucht uit Iran en in Moerkapelle terecht komt. Maral is in Nederland om haar familie te bezoeken, maar liever is ze in de VS. Want als het om nieuws gaat, wil ze vooraan staan. ‘Ik voel me vereerd dat ik dit werk mag doen.’
