After Jesus returns from Nazareth, he sets up his ministry base of operations in Capernaum, on the west coast of the Sea of Galilee. On the sabbath, he taught in the synagogue and a man confronted him who had a demon. Jesus silenced the demon and cast him out of the man causing a stirring in the people, for he was "one who taught with authority." After the sermon, Jesus went to Peter's house where he healed his mother of a fever, and a healing revival broke out at Peter's house.
