King David falls ill and the Bible says that he cannot keep warm, even without covers. The king's failing health inspires dark motivations in Adonijah, the fourth son of David. Adonijah, with the support of Joab and Abiathar, calls himself king. In reaction to this, Nathan the prophet and Zadok the priest and Benaiah and David's guard come to the aid of David, who is petitioned by Bathsheba to announce the kingship of Solomon. In this episode, we discuss the succession of crisis of David and the intercession of Bathsheba.
