Upon the death of King Josiah, Jehoahaz becomes king of Judah. His reign is only three months as the Egyptians assert their dominance over Israel. With massive war tribute demanded of him and the aggressiveness of the prophet Jeremiah in his courts, the wicked Jehoiakim rules the crumbling and judged nation of Judah. In the forth year of reign, the long awaiting conflict between Egypt and Babylon cumulates in the Battle of Carchemish.
