Willow Midwife Center for Birth and Wellness, a Valley company with birth centers in Mesa, Phoenix, and Gilbert, is closing its doors by the end of April 2026. The closure follows a year of controversy, including six lawsuits alleging negligence and a health department citation for not protecting patient health. Despite these issues, Willow maintains its safety for low-risk pregnancies, with less than one percent of patients needing hospital transfers in 2023. Current clients will be supported through the end, with referrals provided for due dates after April 30th.
