A 28-year-old mother from the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community, Passion Schurz, was found deceased in a Scottsdale canal. She went missing on March 19th and was identified on March 26th. Her family fears this could be another case of missing and murdered Indigenous people. The cause of death is still under investigation, and police are urging anyone with information to come forward.
