Skywatchers, prepare for a spectacular show! The Space Weather Prediction Center has issued a G2 geomagnetic storm watch from March 19th to 21st, potentially bringing northern lights visible across parts of the upper United States. The storm originates from a coronal mass ejection spotted on March 6th, with the best chance of viewing in the northern tier of the country, from New York to Idaho. Head to a dark spot away from city lights and look north toward the horizon for the best view. Keep an eye on forecasts through the weekend, as the storm could deliver even more shows if it hits as expected.
