Ford Motor Company is recalling over 600,000 vehicles due to faulty windshield wiper motors in certain 2020-2022 models of Ford Explorer, Ford Escape, Lincoln Aviator, and Lincoln Corsair. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration announced the recall after investigating consumer complaints. The wiper motors may fail or work intermittently, reducing visibility in poor weather and increasing crash risks. Dealers will inspect and replace the motors for free, with notice letters sent out on March 9, 2026. Ford is also facing other recalls for driveshaft problems, suspension issues, and trailer brake software glitches.
