He dispels the myth that plastic surgery is only aesthetics and talks about the multi encompassing fields of plastic surgery. Nonetheless, he includes how he navigated trailblazing the field of plastic surgery as the first BLACK chief resident of plastic surgery at USF ( University of South Florida). We also discuss how the standards of beauty by the media has affected plastic surgery as a field and how his decisions to create a foundation for his future led to him working in an underserved area in rural ohio.
