In this sermon, Pastor Luke Ahrens reflects on the profound challenges faced by Naomi in Ruth 1:1-5, 11-13, as she grapples with loss, despair, and a deep sense of abandonment by God. Life, for Naomi, spirals from bad to worse, leading her to question God's presence in the midst of her suffering. Brokenness can often lead to hopelessness, leaving us feeling bitter toward God. Yet, Pastor Luke brings encouragement by reminding us that brokenness is never the final chapter in God’s story—there is always more to the narrative, even when we can't see it.
