Meet Dorit,

Author of Sand and steel: a memoir of longing and fidning home.

She tells us how she left the US during her college years to find a life she could relate to in Israel. First by serving in the military and then joining a Kibbutz where she founded a family. She tells us all about the community life within a Kibbutz, how they have evolved today and dives into what helped her deal with the reverse culture shock she experienced when she and her family made the difficult decision to move back to the USA and find a completely different set of values.
