Holding onto hurt and anger is painful and heavy. 


It takes us out of the present moment. 


So surrender them, 


And find the comfort you seek so that old hurts can no longer control you.


It hurts.


The burning that occurs from holding onto hurt and anger, 


As if you were holding a hot stone in your hands. 


PAUSE…


With each passing thought of angry words or past hurts,


Your body tenses,


And your heart races.


PAUSE…


So come inside, 


And find peace within your breath. 


PAUSE…


Breathe in,


Breathe out.


PAUSE…


Relax into this present moment.


It’s only you and your breath.


PAUSE…


Be here.


In this beautiful present moment.


The place where true peace resides. 


LONG PAUSE…


Breathe in,


And as you do, 


Imagine that you're inhaling all of the hurt and anger.


And on your exhale, 


Release it,


Surrendering it all, 


And letting it go. 


LONG PAUSE…


Breathe in again,


Taking in all the hurt and anger.


And then breathe out,


Surrendering it all, 


And letting it go. 


LONG PAUSE…


Notice how you feel. 


Lighter.


Clear.


Peaceful.
