Main idea: Even when our enemies sprout like grass, there are two works of God that should make us exceedingly glad and fully convinced that it is good to thank God, praise God, and proclaim his glorious character.
Intro Question #1: What does he say is good? (vv.1-3)
To give thanks
To sing praises
To declare
a. His steadfast love in the morning
b. His faithfulness by night
c. With instruments!
Intro Question #2: Why does he say these actions are good? (v.4)
Intro Question #3: What great works of God should make us glad? (vv.5-6)
God will see to it that the wicked perish (vv.7-9)
a. Their comparison to grass (v.7)
b. Their conflict with God (vv.8-9)
God will see to it that the righteous flourish (vv.10-15)
a. The assurance of victory (vv.10-11)
b. The assurance of vitality (vv.12-14)
1. Their comparison to trees (vv.12-14)
2. Their confession about God (v.15)
