Main idea: In Genesis 14, we see that just because you’re blessed by God doesn’t mean you won’t have trials and temptations. You will have them. Your job is threefold: fear not, fight, and focus on Him so that you will be a blessing to others and give them another great reason to bless God.
Just because you’re blessed doesn’t mean you won’t be tempted to fear man. So fear not! (vv. 1-12)
a. Volatility (vv. 1-7)
b. Violence (vv. 8-11)
Just because you’re blessed doesn’t mean you won’t be tempted to flee responsibility. So fight!
a. Kinsman avenger (vv. 13-16)
Just because you’re blessed doesn’t mean you won’t be tempted to forget God. Keep the focus on Him! (vv. 17-24)
