Show Notes

In this On the Move, hosts Matt Avery and John Kraman are revved up for the next two Mecum auctions. First up is the Gone Farmin’ Spring Classic, which is set to feature eight collections including the Hays Museum Antique Truck Collection, a group of historic haulers from a museum formerly located in Woodland, California. Then it’s on to discussion of Mecum’s return to Glendale, Arizona, with John amped for a pair of Ford GT’s while twin Lamborghinis have Matt’s eye. From there, John shares his thoughts on the recent Daytona 500 NASCAR race before the guys turn their attention to a pair of returning retro icons: VW’s ID.BUZZ and a new DeLorean sports car. Before wrapping the segment, they dive into the news of Ford’s 2023 Raptor Ranger pickup truck. The off-roader features a twin-turbo 3.0L V-6 engine paired to a 10-speed automatic transmission, as well as components like 2.5-inch diameter Fox shocks, fender flares and 33-inch BF Goodrich K02 all-terrain tires. In this episode's second segment, Matt and John turn their attention to the state of car collecting and purchasing. Interest and values are at an all-time high, and the guys discuss how the market has evolved and where some of this renewed focus is coming from. They break down some of the records Mecum set in 2021 while also pointing out some trends and future collectibles that are on their radar.
