You probably weren't aware but yesterday was International Day of Families - the day the UN chose to promote awareness of issues relating to families. And the reason you probably weren't aware was because the major media outlets in New Zealand didn't mention it - unlike their coverage of International Women's Day. But strong families matter. Even the UN can figure that out.
