Wayne Boatwright was a California Lawyer who has since been disbarred. On August 30th 2011, Wayne was driving home under the influence where he accidentally hit and killed a 56 year old mother and severally injured her 18 year old daughter. Boatwright pled guilty to "Gross vehicular manslaughter while driving under the influence, operating a motor vehicle with a blood-alcohol level in excess of .08 and one enhancement for inflicting great bodily injury on another person". Boatwright received 7 years and 8 months. Since his release, Boatwright uses his experiences to help others and promote awareness about the true cost of going to prison. Boatwright has started his own blog, detailing his life experiences before, during and after prison.
