In this episode we speak to Chris Bamber, an e-commerce & fashion entrepreneur with a relatable story that I think will resonate with many listeners.
We explore his background and how he first got started - from growing up in a traditional family who didn't truly believe in his vision & being pushed into a college education to become a joiner, to eventually making the leap into entrepreneurship having been inspired by other founders he looked up to online, initially dreaming to own a similar car of his own one day.
He explains how in the early days his business was nearly destroyed due to bad stock management and limited capital, and how setting up shop in his parent's backroom became his first office, warehouse & design studio. We also discuss the fleeting satisfaction of achieving material goals, dealing with doubters in the early days and how running 2 similar projects side by side can often be a smart way to accelerate growth when finding early traction.
I think this will be a great insight into the realities of early-stage entrepreneurship and how things can scale exponentially with the right focus, time & consistency. Enjoy the episode!
