Show Notes

Kiwi marine biologist, Rochelle Constantine, has co-written a paper showing that whales converge at the remote Kermadec Islands ... in the cetacean equivalent of a singing competition.
She says her recordings show whales sing the same songs... that others do in New Caledonia, the Cook Islands and Tonga.
Rochelle told Simon and Phil it suggests the Kermadecs are where whales go to hear and learn songs by other whales.
