Show Notes
The Christchurch City Council has changed the age for children to swim on their own at a public pool to 12 meaning children 11 and under must have to adult supervision.
From January 16, the supervisor must be 16 or older. Previously the rule applied to children aged 7 and under.
Daniel Gerrard is Chief Executive of Water Safety New Zealand and he called Simon Barnett & James Daniels as they discussed the issue.
