Show Notes

The government has purchased 5 new Seahawk helicopters and 2 Airbus A321 XLRs, costing a total of $2.7billion.

These will replace the Defence Force's ageing Sea-sprites and Boeing 757s, that have broken down numerous times.

Deputy Prime Minister David Seymour says that it’s a much-needed upgrade to NZ’s Defence Force.

‘The 757s were bought secondhand, in 1993 when I personally was at primary school.’
