The Pakistan cricket team will not be able to train while completing their time in managed isolation in Christchurch.
The Director-General of Health has confirmed he will not be granting an exemption to allow the team to leave their hotel to train in groups.
Dr Ashley Bloomfield says he's carefully considered the situation and has ongoing concerns about the risk of cross-infection within the squad.
He says there have been a number of active cases identified among the team and public health consideration will continue to be foremost in our response to Covid-19.
