O's and Nats crossover with Sara Perlman
The Battle of the Beltways. The Beltway Series. The MASN Cup. Whatever you want to call it, the Orioles and Nationals are renewing their rivalry with a three-game set at Camden Yards starting on Memorial Day. And Bobby and Paul are getting you ready for the showdown with special guest Sara Perlman! Tune in as we discuss the current states of each team, look ahead to next week's series and play a round of "Would You Rather." (5/25/18)
EP 7: How Michael Taylor creates other birds as the Orioles logo
Michael Taylor, the creator of the "Other Birds as the Orioles Logo" Twitter account, joins the podcast to talk ornithology, graphic design and, of course, baseball. (5/17/18)
EP 6: Times are tough
A winless road trip leaves the Orioles with plenty of questions. What's to blame for the Orioles' offensive struggles? Is the starting pitching the biggest issue? Will the rest of the season be as bad as the first month? Paul and Bobby attempt to answer these and other questions surrounding the organization. (5/7/18)
EP 5: Enrolling in the School of Roch
Class is in session. Even though it's late April, Paul and I are heading back to school - the School of Roch that is - as MASNsports.com's Orioles beat writer Roch Kubatko joins us on the latest episode of the "MASN All Access" podcast. We discuss the O's current slump and how long before they break out of it. Roch also takes a look at the current state of the roster and how Alex Cobb can turn things around. To close out on a fun, positive note, Paul and I propose different songs where Roch could insert his name ("Roch the Casbah," "Roch You Like a Hurricane," etc.) and find out which one he would use as his walk-up song. (4/25/18)
EP 4: Birds continue to struggle in cold weather
As we continue to wait for spring to arrive, Orioles fans are waiting for the O's offense to heat up as well. Bobby and Paul discuss the possible effect the recent cold weather has had on the O's bats, while we also hear from Buck Showalter and Adam Jones about the sluggish offense. And who would have thought the Orioles' starting pitching would be a strength at this point in the season? We're holding out hope for the Birds while waiting for them to put together some complete wins. (4/19/18)
EP 3: Steve Melewski recaps Orioles-Yankees series
Our very own Steve Melewski of MASNsports.com was kind enough to join us for this episode of the "MASN All Access" podcast. Paul, Bobby and Steve recap the Orioles' series in New York in which the Birds won three out of four. Who were this weekend's heroes and how might have this series turned the season around for the O's? We'll also look ahead to Dylan Bundy's start against the Blue Jays before Steve takes us through the Orioles' farm system with some players to watch, including updates on Alex Cobb and Hunter Harvey. (4/9/18)
EP 2: Chance The Bunter, bats vs. pitching and schedule
What's the first weekend of the season without a little controversy? As if it hadn't been talked about enough, Paul and Bobby discuss Chance Sisco's now infamous bunt in the ninth inning against the Twins on Sunday. Was he in the wrong? We'll weigh in with our thoughts and hear from Rick Dempsey. We then debate which is a greater cause for concern through the first four games: the rotation or the bats. And it doesn't get any easier for the Orioles, as we preview the tough schedule remaining in April. (4/3/18)
EP 1: Opening day, the rotation and expectations
Happy Opening Day, Birdland! Welcome to the first episode of the MASN All Access podcast with Bobby Blanco and Paul Mancano. To kick off the 2018 season, we're discussing the Orioles' starting rotation and how the additions of Andrew Cashner and Alex Cobb may have changed the expectations for this team. We hope you enjoy our first episode and stick with us all season long! (3/29/18)
