It's a wild tale of how Marvel gave the character rights to a successful Japanese TV and Movie company, who proceeded to transform Spider-Man into a much more Japanese pop culture character! Time to get a motorbike, a flying car, a spaceship, tons of aliens, a giant Transformer robot, and a thirst for REVENGE! This is a Spider-Man unlike ANYTHING we’ve seen in the Marvel Comics or the MCU! And if we’re gonna chart the full history of Marvel, we’ve got to spend some time on the Japanese Spider-Man of 1978!
