Indian benchmark indices, Sensex and Nifty 50, are likely to make a muted opening on January 8. The week ahead will see major earnings including Infosys, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), Wipro, HCLTech and HDFC Life.
Meanwhile, the GIFT Nifty suggests a flat start for the January 8 session, consolidating from last week. Global markets too consolidated in the previous session.
