God, the Master, The Holy of Israel, has this solemn counsel:âYour salvation requires you to turn back to me and stop your silly efforts to save yourselves.Your strength will come from settling down in complete dependence on meâThe very thing youâve been unwilling to do.â

Isaiah prophesied in the 8th Century B.C. Yet overscheduling, independence, and personal accomplishment still receive higher praise than Godâs radical call to surrender, turn back, and settle down.
