Show Notes
Memphis Head Coach Penny Hardaway has one of the top 3 recruiting classes in NCAA basketball, and says landing James Wiseman, the #1 highschool player in the nation, was what started it all. Penny speaks to what he learned during his first year as a head coach, why studying the great programs and coaches was so important, and why making it to the NCAA Tournament simply isn't enough. He also breaks down the strengths and weaknesses of his incoming freshman (including his own son, Jayden), and explains what he's expecting from his veteran players. Then John Brannen is the new head coach of the Cincinnati Bearcats, and has a definite plan for the program which will feature 7 new players along with returning star Jarron Cumberland. John explains some of his goals, how his coaching style differs from former coach Mick Cronin (who departed for UCLA), and what other teams can expect to see from Cincinnati on the court.
