Since 2016 the world economy has been a tailwind for U.S. manufacturers after years of post-financial crisis malaise. Unfortunately, in recent months there has been growing evidence of a global slowdown due mostly to weakening growth in China and significant weakness in the Euro area. Cliff explains these problems and offers a forecast for U.S. manufacturing growth for 2019 and 2020.
