Today's episode explores the unique counter-play between emotional danger and psychological safety. Often we find comfort in the familiar, even when the familiar is toxic and working against us. Sometimes the reason that evoking positive change in your life is so challenging is because it poses as a threat to what we are comfortable with. This irony can often cause us to stay in what's comfortable, even though it is problematic. However, when you become aware of the dynamic, you can find a much better option to handle the changes that come with recovery.
