Toxic masculinity is the notion that all men should be tough, aggressive, antifeminine, and dominant. These characteristics can be true of men, but they are not a requirement, which is why they have been termed as 'toxic.' However, in response, a new male prototype has been created – one that is highly sensitive, feminine, soft, and passive. This pendulum swing has been equally problematic.
