With a career that spans decades, Kim has toured internationally and taken the stage at major festivals including the San Francisco Blues Festival, Bumbershoot, and the Waterfront Blues Festival. His dynamic performances have earned him spots on bills alongside rhythm and blues legends such as Muddy Waters, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Robert Cray, the Fabulous Thunderbirds, Gregg Allman, James Cotton, Otis Rush, John Lee Hooker, Albert Collins, the Righteous Brothers, Walter Horton, and Big Mama Thornton.
