Show Notes

My guest Mel has reframed discomfort as a teacher and shares that by sitting with it, we can learn some of the most important lessons life and relationships with ourselves and others have to offer us.

TW: We briefly discuss trauma and identify some specific types of trauma in this episode. Please check in with yourself before proceeding.

Mel Gentry Bosna (she/her) has a BS in Sociology, a Master of Social Work and is licensed as a clinical social worker in Arizona where she runs a private practice. She's passionate about joining people on their reclamation journey and aims to agitate systems of oppression (side-eyeing you capitalism, white supremacy, patriarchy and ableism). Mel identifies as a cis-woman, clinician, writer, mother and most of all, human. She primarily works with adults impacted by spiritual abuse, sexual trauma, early attachment disruption, betrayal-harm and consent violations. Mel's first book, 'In The House Of Me: A path of self-abandonment to self-reclamation through a practice of embodied consent' was released in 2023 and is available on Bookshop, Amazon or Changing Hands websites.
