1 Peter

God is often silent but He is never distant. When God is silent He's often preparing us for something miraculous. That's what he was doing with Zechariah, an often overlooked character in the Christmas story. Zechariah had a part to play and a song to sing that broke 400 years of silence. Listen as Pastor Shawn teaches us how God uses silence to teach us to live with a greater sense of Hope.

Silent Night, O Come Let Us Adore Him, The First Noel - you’ve probably heard and sang these carols at some point in your life. But before they were written there were some Songs of Christmas sung by some of the original characters in the Christmas story. At first glance it would seem that none of them had a reason to sing. They faced hardship, struggled with heartache and wrestled with promises that seemed too good to be true. But in the end their struggle, confusion and waiting was not wasted. God did something incredible that led them to respond with songs declaring the promise of Christmas as a melody that is still being heard today.

Join us for the month of December as we discover and learn from the original Songs of Christmas.

December 4 – Why Me?: Mary’s Song

December 11 – Hope is Here: Zechariah’s Song

December 18 – Watching and Waiting: Simeon’s Song

December24 – Christmas Eve - A Strange Way To Save The World
