We go through a couple of rounds of free agency and some other elements of fantasy football get thrown into the mix as we hash out details for our 2015 Fantasy Draft. This was his first experience on a Carnival “funship” and this was his second experience on a cruise ever. The first time he was on a cruise ship was during his honeymoon with the Disney Cruise Line aboard this Disney Wonder (and there were only two Disney ships back then, boys and girls, the other being the Magic). And, it just so happens that the Disney Wonder was in port in Cozumel at the same time the Carnival Triumph was in Cozumel. Kevin compares his two experiences: the Disney Wonder back in 2007 and the Carnival Triumph in 2014. He had wonderful times with both companies. He is not endorsed by Disney or Carnival. This is just a friendly comparison between a veteran cruise ship company (Carnival Cruise Lines est. 1972) and the relatively new kid on the block (Disney Cruise Line est. 1994). Factoid of the day: hippos are huge!!! On this week’s show, we discuss a myriad of topics all of which center around our Trip Report for our First Podcast Trip to the World!!! We lead off the show and give our listeners a hearty Asante Sana as we read and respond to their emails. Thank you to each and every one of you that have written in so far. Secondly, we talk about our trip down to the World together for the first time. We tried to cover things that we didn’t cover in the Field Reports and also embellish on the things we brought up on our Field Reports. There were a lot of firsts for us during this trip which really helped to make this trip special. We discuss Kevin’s experience with letting Disney chauffeur him around the property. The backstory is that Kevin usually has a car while in Disney World and does enjoy driving around property. Is it a control issue? Could be. We also go into Danny’s take on Disney transportation in reference to DVC privileges. HAHAHA! Next we offer our first impressions of the Art of Animation Resort, a place neither of us have ever stayed. We then talk about our stay at the Bay Lake Towers, specifically the showers. Then, Danny relates his experience watching the Norway movie for the first time. We got stuck on Primeval Whirl!!! Guano Joe and The Flights of Wonder: love this show and you would be remiss if you missed it. We give a state of the Soarin’ attraction address. We visit Splitsville and give our first impressions of it. I took Danny to the Top of the World lounge at Bay Lake Towers. Kevin finally gets in to the Be Our Guest Restaurant and has a great experience. Lastly, we talk about the Disneyland App. If you are looking for a good mobile Disney fix, this app is definitely the way to go. It reminds us of the Walt Disney World Explorer computer game. Disneyland has some last minute, end-of-the-summer vacation deals. Disney sets to make the Artemis Fowl series of books into a series of movies based around this character. And, we decide to look at another one of Bob’s polls from All In WDW. This time, we talk about the results of the King of the World poll he conducted in April 2013. This poll set out to see which attraction was deemed the best in the “World.” In the Hub, we have part two of our discussion regarding THE PIXAR THEORY by Jon Negroni (www.jonnegroni.com). We are working to fully understand the theory and to see if it “holds water” so to speak. Anyway, if you have not heard about this theory, go read it on Jon Negroni’s website. Jambeaux, everyone!!! Welcome to another episode of the Magic Our Way podcast. We are 21 shows old today and we are feeling very adult!!! We have a great show for you today as we explore another aspect of park life that has never seen the light of day. In this week’s Queue, we once again address several topics which peaked our interest for discussion while waiting in the queue. Disney performs a “Hat trick” at the Rose and Crown Pub in the United Kingdom pavilion in EPCOT Center. The last bastion of Merriweather Adam Pleasure’s vision has finally left the building. You can now recharge and discharge in Fantasyland at the Magic Kingdom. We talk about the lineup of narrators for the 2013 Candlelight Processional. With the coming of new things that one must do, we will soon see a new version of Must-Dos on resort TV starring the lovely, and always perky, Stacy Aswad. And lastly, for those wishing to become part of the magic, we discuss some upcoming auditions taking place soon. In the Hub, we discuss the missing, yet ever referenced, land in Disney’s Animal Kingdom, Beastly Kingdom. This land was supposed to be located where Camp Minnie Mickey is today. Through research we talk about what the land was supposed to look like, what the details of the attractions and restaurants were to be, and the eventual demise of the plans for this remarkable land. We feel that this is a land that could have done really well since its opening and we are sad to know that it might not happen. Maybe in the future, who knows?
