With some talented actors armed with interesting scripts and crews that had carte blanche to be creative, this era, often called the “Golden Age”, resulted in nearly 2 decades of fascinating and unprecedented filmmaking. Hostess Magic M has been a longtime devotee of hardcore cinema from the Golden Age and is here to share her vast knowledge. From the essential classics like The Opening of Misty Beethoven, Behind the Green Door, and The Devil in Miss Jones to more obscure and bizarre curiosities that are worth checking out, Magic M is here to give you an overview of the genre and why it has a place in cinema history.
