Beloit City Council has narrowed down their city manager search to two finalists: Daniel Ortiz Hernandez and John Weidl. Ortiz Hernandez, with thirteen years of experience, brings a bachelors in political science, masters in public administration, ICMA credentialed status, and Harvard Kennedy School training. Weidl, an Air Force vet, holds a masters from Northern Illinois University, ICMA credentialed, certified economic developer, and public manager status. The community can voice their opinions at a forum on April 13th and send questions by April 11th. Interviews are on April 14th, with a decision expected by April 20th.
