China wil ervoor zorgen dat de economische groei en de algemene welvaart evenredig verdeeld wordt. Dat heeft het land bekendgemaakt tijdens het derde plenum, een vergadering die eens in de vijf jaar plaatsvindt. Juist die boodschap is opvallend, vindt macro-econoom Edin Mujagic. ‘Dat betekent dus dat het nu niet zo is, terwijl China in de kern nog altijd een communistisch land is. Dus daar zullen de leiders in Beijing niet blij mee zijn.’
