Boxers have all sorts of journeys and Conor Benn's has been a pretty unique one so far. He’s not the first son of a famous father to follow his Dad into the squared circle and he very likely won’t be the last. And although there are advantages to bearing a well-known surname, there are drawbacks too. People often have the idea that it’s all sweetness and light but nobody can do the fighting for you, the pressure is intense, and the younger Benn is brutally honest in his appraisal of what his pugilistic life has been like so far and even admits there have been times when he’s questioned whether he has what it takes to prosper in this most demanding of sports. It was great fun talking to him so we hope you enjoy it as much as we did.
