It’s been announced that every Deis Primary school pupil will get a free hot school meal every day from September. For some, this may be the only hot meal they get a day. The scheme will be brought in for all schools by 2030.
Is this a good idea? Should all Deis kids get a free school meal? Or is there a better way to target this so there’s no waste?
