Billie McQueen Caviel, a pioneering African American pharmacy owner in Lubbock, Texas, passed away at 90. Alongside husband Alfred, she ran Caviels Pharmacy for nearly 50 years, making history as the first interracial couple to own and operate a pharmacy together. Their legacy lives on through the Caviel Museum, dedicated to African American heritage, and the East Lubbock Art House, which honors Billie with a mural.
