Show Notes
We used to laugh at older folks complaining about sore backs, forgetting things, and needing reading glasses—but now, as aging Gen Xers, we’re becoming them. In this episode, we talk about the strange experience of feeling young in our minds while our bodies start showing signs of wear, and how society is beginning to treat us like the “older generation.” From creaky joints to mental fog, we’re facing the reality of aging and all the surprises that come with it. We also reflect on unlearning one of the biggest lessons passed down by our Baby Boomer parents—the relentless grind. They worked hard out of necessity, shaped by struggles we didn’t have, yet we were raised to grind just as hard, even if it wasn’t always needed. Now, we’re asking if there’s a better, healthier way to approach this next phase of life.
