150 years ago the Paper featured another story about snakes, 100 years ago country newspapers were being examined, 50 years ago an initiative to promote local businesses was being proposed, 25 years ago a new motoring event was causing excitement, and ten years ago an interesting theory regarding the supposed Old Spot ghost was suggested.
