150 years ago a child was injured in a mining explosion, 100 years ago traffic issues on Murray st were generating concern, 50 years ago school toilets posed a potential health risk, 25 years ago plans for a north eastern bypass were quashed, and 10 years ago worked feared that the closure of Holden’s Elizabeth plant was imminent.
