Daily Planet Exclusive with Jay Gruska
ESeries composer Jay Gruska joins us to talk all things music and Superman! A singer/songwriter-turned-composer, Jay has been writing music for film and television since the 1980s and has contributed compositions to Thirtysomething, Beverly Hills 90210, Charmed, and Supernatural to name a few (check out his IMDB next time you have three hours). And in 1993, DJL and company heard in his music the same thing we’ve all heard for the past 20-odd years. Hope. His theme for the series is one of the most hopeful, exciting, positive pieces of music every to be associated with the Man of Steel, not to mention the love theme and other wonderful melodies he treated us to over the show’s run. We cannot thank Jay enough for taking the time to talk L&C with us and relive some amazing music!

Important Announcement: We'll be posting every other week for a little while to record a stock pile of episodes, but we'll be back in two weeks with "Ordinary People." Thank you all for listening and coming along for the ride!

221 - Whine, Whine, Whine (with Craig Byrne)
EThe three-headed podcaster often takes time to comment on love triangles and stunt casting. From its perch behind a microphone, the three-headed podcast will enteratain you for an hour and change, often taking breaks to talk about horrible Zach Snyder films and bagle bites. Observe it now in it's natural habitat.

220 - Individual Responsibility (with Jacqi Inouye)
ESuperman on the couch! Artist extraordinaire Jacqi Inouye joins us once again to discuss the moral obligations of Superman and how easy it is to excavate new kryptonites from Smallville. Check out Jacqi's work @jacqi.inouye on Instagram and commission the hell out of her!

219 - Target: Jimmy 2 Olsen
EAfter the series high of "Tempus Fugitive" comes 40-some minutes of who knows! Okay, admittedly neither of our favorites, but it has a moment or... two?

218 - Tempus Fugitive (with Christine Bartolucci)
EGuys, GUYS, it's time. Get out your gold and strap on your pocket watches, we're going to the past and then the recent past and then the 90's again. The series becomes instantly elevated when HG Wells and Tempus, a malevolent douche from the future, stop by to jeopardize Superman's very existence AND call Lois stupid! It's, hands down, the best episode of this series and one of the greatest Superman stories ever told, anywhere, ever. So sit back, relax, and... duh!

217 - Resurrection (with Craig Byrne)
EMason Drake is still dead and KryptonSite still exists! KSite TV's Craig Byrne stops by to lay down some L&C knowledge and school us in all the trivia. Oh, and we talk about coffins and skin rashes and stuff. Next week... duh!

216 - Lucky Leon (with the Bitter Script Reader)
EI'm literally not allowed enough characters here to explain everything that happens in this episode. There's so much. I mean, no spoilers, but Mason dies. Crazy! The Bitter Script Reader (@BittrScriptReadr) joins us to dissect and over-stuffed classic the very same week Avengers: Infinity War comes out. What are the chances?!

215 - Return of the Prankster (with Christine Bartolucci)
EHello Metropolis, this is the Prankster. That's right, I'm in your head. Which must mean you're too late to stop me from recycling plot points, threatening presidents, and causing all sorts of a ruckus for our Big Blue and Lady Lane. That's right, it's another eh episode with an A+ villain. And Christine Bartolucci is here! Check out her show too @anologtalkpodcast

214 - Top Copy aka Cop Topy aka Topy Copy (with Laurie-Anne Collins)
EWE'RE BACK for more season 2 shenanigans, and so is our awesome guest, Laurie Collins. Talking everything from the mutable properties of kryptonite, to why Laurie's brothers really wanted to watch all those Raquel Welch movies when they were kids. Good to be back, ya'll!

L&C'd Writer's Table - "Funny Pages"/"Silence of the Lex" Break Session
EWe're trying something new for this mid-season hiatus episode, where the two of us sat down and tried to break a story for a lost episode of Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman. We work through ideas like mermaid girlfriends, Cat Grant's return, and Champagne Dog before settling on a mixture of two of our stories to focus on. We had a blast recording this one, so hope you all enjoy and please let us know if you'd want to hear more like this!

306 - Supermom Special/Don't Tug on Superman's Cape (with Lynne Truex)
EIt's "Bring Your Mom To Fake-Work" Day here at Lois & Clark'd! Matt sits down with Lynne Truex and asks her why she watched the show with him in the first place. Sherman Oaks real estate, General Hospital, Desilu Studios, Star Trek, and Pierce Brosnan are also discussed at length.

213 - The Phoenix (with Zach Moore)
ESexy Lexie Luthor returns to torment Lois and Clark and entertain Matt and Ryan. This week, we are joined by Zach Moore, a bonafide Super-fan and host of Always Hold On To Smallville! In fact, this is kinda Part 2 of a cross over with that series, where Matt joined Zach to discuss Smallville's handling of the return of Lex Luthor, also called "Phoenix." Check it all out and enjoy this John Shea oasis, we certainly did.

212 - The Eyes Have It

210 - Metallo (with Jacqi Inouye)
ELucy Lane's boyfriend is heartless. GET IT?! Shut up, that was funny. Crazy-talented artist and self-taught DC nerd Jacqi Inouye takes her first look at L&C and comes away with a smile. Check out Jacqi's work on Instagram (@jacqi.inouye) and try to get her to draw a Dean Superman, would you? Also, sorry I told you to shut up before. Heat of the moment, you understand. L8tr!

208 - A Bolt From the Blue
EStrange visitor from the heart of Memphis, it's Resplendent Man! That sounds like a job for Resplendent Man!

207 - That Old Gang of Mine (with Dan Hill)
EYou, talking to us? No, I think we are the ones talking to you's. How bout them apples? Fuggetaboutit. Mobster words! Turns out, Bonny, Clyde, Capone, and Dillinger are back from the dead, and we talk you through it.

A Dean Cain'd Christmas-cast: Small Town Santa Edition (with Dan Hill)

Dan Hill joins us again for an exciting look at the Dean Cain-led Christmas fable, Small Town Santa. We rag on a cheap movie, compliment the cheap movie industry, and talk holiday viewing traditions. We even squeeze in a few Superman references. Enjoy the show and Happy Holidays from Metropolis!

205 - Church of Metropolis
ECould I interest you in a little, oh, I don’t know, PETER BOYLE?! And maybe a side of MASON DRAKE?! Plus, everyone’s favorite character Uncle Mike Lane drops in for another classic appearance. It’s a good time.

204 - The Prankster (with Christine Bartolucci)
EChristine Bartolucci returns to the bullpen (Matt's apartment) to save the day! Meanwhile, in Metropolis, Bronson Pinchot makes an awesome debut and sends Lois an itchy ring, something else I'm forgetting, and the world's best jack-in-the-box. Guys, it’s a good time.

203 - The Source
EThis is the one where they go to the pier! Listen along as we relive Lois getting drowned in a metal drum, that guy and his weird meditation balls, and a Jonathan making a friend on the train. Plus, Matt comes up with a filler episode. It's an all new Lois & Clark'd, right here on whatever app this is.

ETHIS IS NOT A DRILL! Season 2 starts next week! In the meantime, we apologize for leaving for a long time (how Brandon Routh of us, right?!) and then talk about just about everything, including the Deanman's new rumor milling about a reunion. What's this now? Find out!

KARA & CLARK'd: Discussing Supergirl Season 2's Superman
EWell, we back! It's been a loooooong summer vacation for us, but we are back in Metropolis covering a new bit of Superman mythos before we start Lois & Clark season 2. It seems, a little show called Supergirl just introduced their own Superman unto the world! We talk about our past few months, apologizes for not doing this sooner, and get our groove back!

Smallville "Pilot" Summer Screening (with Justin Miller)
EThe first in our Summer Screening series is the methodically plotted treat that is the Smallville series pilot. Joined by Smallville fanboy Justin Miller, we have a great time dissecting this decidedly "fresh" take on the Superman myth, all the while spoiling much of the ensuing 10 seasons for perpetual novice, Ryan. Also, shout out to our fellow Meteor Freaks! First off, check out Craig Byrne's K Site and his multiple Smallville Season Companions he's authored, as well as the great Always Hold Onto Smallville Podcast, which is to the little Kansas berg what we are to L&C!

120/121 - Barbarians at the House of Luthor SEASON FINALE
EWell FOLCs, we made it to the end of the first season! We are officially a quarter of the way done with the show. But don't worry, we are just getting started! When Lex Luthor commits insurance fraud and plants a bomb in order to neg Lois Lane into marrying him, Clark, Superman, Perry, Jimmy, Jack, the movie star, the professor, and Mary Ann will stop at nothing to show Lois the light and take Lex down once and for all!....'Til they need a ratings bump and bring him back. It has been our extreme pleasure to bring you all this podcast for the last several months and we can't wait hope to see everyone back in season 2. There is going to be a couple weeks between then and now, but we will be back in between with a few Superman sidebar episodes. The first of which will be us covering the wonder that is the Smallville pilot, so hope everyone enjoys that! Til next time, thank you all for listening and for your support!! FOLC off!!
