Orlando Magic's trade deadline decision: A missed opportunity

The Orlando Magic stood pat at the trade deadline, a decision that could be a mistake. The team's clear weaknesses, particularly in offense and three-point shooting, weren't addressed. Despite having assets and opportunities, the Magic chose continuity over improvement. This decision leaves the team struggling to compete with top Eastern Conference teams and raises questions about their future prospects.

Show Notes

The Orlando Magic's decision to stand pat at the NBA trade deadline could be a missed opportunity. The Magic left several clear needs unaddressed that have held the team back this year and for much of the past decade.

Orlando's flaws were on display in clear vision in their 112-90 loss to the Denver Nuggets on Thursday to end their road trip. The Magic are sticking with their roster and betting that health will get them on the right track.

It does not change that the Magic will have to make some difficult decisions and add to the roster this offseason.
