🔍 Trade Targets to Watch
Alex Tuch
Tuch is entering the final year of his current contract with a $4.75 million cap hit and has a five-team no-trade clause, making a potential trade possible if Buffalo doesn’t reach a new deal.
He had a 36-goal season last year, showing he still has plenty of scoring punch.
Buffalo is reportedly contemplating whether to extend Tuch or shop him, especially given the risk of him walking in free agency.
NHL Trade Rumors
For Vancouver, acquiring Tuch would add a power forward with scoring, two-way ability, and a relatively manageable contract.
Tage Thompson
While Tuch is more frequently floated, Thompson’s name is emerging in trade rumor circles as Buffalo’s struggles intensify.
He has a bigger cap hit (~$7.14 million) and more risk, but also more upside as a top-six winger if he clicks in the right situation.
Thompson could bring more dynamic goal-scoring upside, but would require a bigger asset package.
