The Philadelphia 76ers dropped Paul George’s debut in heartbreaking fashion, falling to the Phoenix Suns 118-116! The Sixers led by 9 points with under 5 minutes to play, but couldn’t hold on! Segment 1: THREE BIG THINGS: 1) Sixers hung with a good team. Not a moral victory, but good to see them NOT GET BLOWN OUT in the 2nd and 3rd quarters for a change. 2) Paul George’s debut! You can tell he’s playing himself back into being “Paul George” but he still impressed in the 2nd quarter in particular. 3) Tyrese Maxey continues to show his improvement. Watching him in two septate 3-point battles with Kevin Durant and winning those battles, was the highlight of the night. Segment 2: the Paul George effect! How his just his presence ALONE makes a huge difference in spacing! Segment 3: Checking the show’s YouTube channel comments …. What’s next for the Sixers, they head to LA for a matchup with the Clippers Wednesday night before facing the Lakers Friday night.

The Philadelphia 76ers dropped Paul George’s debut in heartbreaking fashion, falling to the Phoenix Suns 118-116! The Sixers led by 9 points with under 5 minutes to play, but couldn’t hold on!
Kevin Durant did hit thing, capping off a 35 points night with the game winning layup with :24 second left on the clock and the Sixers never recovered.
Despite the loss, George looked like a guy who needed to get a game under his belt. He was held scoreless in the 1st quarter, but then dropped 10 of his 15 points in the 2nd quarter.
Tyrese Maxey scored a game high 32 points. Maxey and Guerschon Yabusele combined for 11 made threes, while Yabusele netted a career high 19 points.
